How to archive your notes and journals

Diarly allows you to keep your notes and journals organized by archiving them. Archiving a note or journal moves it out of your main timeline or journal view, but it's still accessible and can be unarchived later.

Archiving a Note

There are two ways to archive a note in Diarly:

  • In the timeline view, select the note you wish to archive and right-click. Then select the option to archive. (On iOS you can swipe right)

  • In the note view, click on the three dots in the top right corner and then select Archive.

Archiving a Journal

You can archive a journal by going to Settings > Journals view, and then selecting the journal. You will see Journal Settings page, with options, select Archive.

Archiving a journal will also archive all the notes within that journal.

You can find Archived journals at the bottom of Journal list, you can unarchive them by opening Journal Settings page again and selecting Unarchive.

Finding Archived Notes

To find an archived note, go to the search bar at the top of the timeline view, and type in the keyword @archived and hit enter. This will display all the archived notes.

You can now open Note, and in the note view, click on the three dots in the top right corner and then select Unarchive.
